Makenzie sat in her usual chair at the back of the room. Mrs. Oswald was droaning on and on. All she wanted to do was do something.
Mrs. Oswald smiled and said, "Start now, you have the rest of the period!" Makenzie looked over at Claire, alarmed.
Claire looked back and said, "She wants us to paint a picture using black and white with one other color. I'm going to use red, so don't copy!"
Makenzie smiled and said, "Me, copy? Wouldn't dream of it." Makenzie tugged her hat down a little farther and started to paint. She chose purple for her color and she set to work, occasionally mixing colors to make a different one.
When she got done she was quite satisfied with it. It was a picture of some grapes with different shades of purple for each grape.

Lily sat back finished also hers was of the meadows the grass was light green surounded by dark greens pine trees.

Makenzie looked over at Lily's picture. "Nice." she hoped that Lily wouldn't be mean to her like the other kids... she didn't know Lily all that well.

Lily smiled "Thanks I like your guys to" she said seeing the other paintings.

Makenzie exchanged a look with Claire and then smiled, a little uncertainly. "Thanks." she said, pulling her hat down more firmly. It was an old habit of hers, she mostly did it when she was embarassed.

Clarie couldnt help but smile "Thanks" she said then whispered to Makenzie "oh come on open up alittle."
Lily smiled she pretend to busy with her painting though she could hear Clarie easily.

Makenzie sighed. "Oh, okay. I'll try...I just hope she dosen't know about the-" She did air quotes, "-prophecy." she tugged on her panda hat again.

"I dont know but so what she seems nice" Clarie said.
Lily almost stopped what prophecy was she talking about? she hated to listen in on people but well see was curious.

She snorted like it was the most stupid thing she'd ever heard. She stopped abuptly, whispering to Claire. " I think she heard me..." She looked apprehensivley at Lily...

Lily did freeze now her mind working twice as fast having already meomrized it 2 differnt clans? Enemies? This coould no be good. Godd it could even start a war the sides already hated eeach other. It might not be a big deal if it warriors yes it was betraly but if it was a Deputy or a Healer It could get bad real fast.

Makenzie saw Lily go stiff. "I...I don't know, but I think she d-did...." She pulled her hat down and hoped that the rest of the period would pass quickly. She started to tear up, embarrassed beyond measure.

after a moment Lily cleaned off her brushes pretending she hadnt heared that she went back to them "So I was rude earlier, Whats yours guys name?" Lily asked.
"I'm Clarie" clarie said hesitant. Lily smeed normal enough but what about her energy. Even tho she hated do this she opened up her 6th sense and looked at her energy and was shocked. Clarie was snapped out of it since she didnt have much control over it. She looked at lily alittle afraid she was powerful.

Makenzie sat beside Claire. "I'm Makenzie..." she said quietly. She saw Claire's shocked face and tugged her panda hat down a little, as if to hide in it. She picked up one of her brushes and busied herself with cleaning it.

"I'm Lily" Lily said seeing Claries shocked gazed "Something wrong?"
"N-no" Clarie said she waited for Lily to go back to her seat before trning to Makenzie "She isnt normal" she said quietly following her over to the sink cleaning her own brushes.

Makenzie didn't say anything right away, but after a while she piped up, "I think she has an authoritive aurora...she's just...not the same as us, but I'm not the same as anyone either, so I can't really say anything..." And her voice trailed off as Lily returned to her seat. Makenzie put her now clean brushes in the jar on her desk.
