Luke walked around the side of the movie theatre, messing with his knife as he walked people walk in and out. He was trying to look threatening even though he had no intentions of confronting anyone.
Violet hid herself behind Luke, hood of her cloak pulled up over her head. "You don't have to scare them with that knife, no one's coming near us," she said quietly.

Mirai happened to walk past the pair, and instantly freaked when she saw one of them was playing, more likes messing, with a knife. Her eyes grew wide, and she started to panic in her mind, almost frozen on the spot.
‘Oh my god he has a knife!’ Mirai cried out in her mind. She instantly thought he was some psycho, on the look out to stab someone. He may even have been a murder!

Violet spotted Mirai looking at them with wide eyes. "Put it away," she told Luke.
"Why? I'm not doing any harm," Luke pointed out.
Violet hit him on the arm. "You're obviously freaking that girl out," she retorted, pointing to Mirai.

Mirai watched what was going on, and started to freak ever more when the hooded figure pointed at her. It made her think the worst possible outcome.
OH MY GOD THEY WANT TO KILL ME! Mirai thought in her mind, paniced. Looking around, she wasn't sure what to do.

Violet stifled a laugh as she saw Mirair's expression grow more freaked out. "I"m going to assure her that we won't kill her and by the time I get back, that weapon better be away," Violet told Luke like she was his mother. Then, she walked over to Mirai, forgetting that she probably looked completely menacing with her hood up over her eyes.

Mirai was frozen on the spot, and she couldn't run, although the completely menacing figure was coming over. She didn't know what to do. Was she suppose to run, or fight back?!?

Violet walked up to Mirai and looked her over before saying, "Sorry for scaring you. Luke, uh, he isn't exactly, a people person."
Luke stayed back, watching Violet, and he still hadn't put the knife back.

Mirai was about to scream "Bloody Murder" but she was suprised when a female spoke to her. She didn't sound like she was going to her hurt, and she said that the male wasn't going to hurt her...
"B-B-But he has a knife!" Mirai squeaked, terrified.

Mirai couldn't believe how calm this girl was about this guy having the knife on him.
"Usually, psychopaths carry wepons... which they use to stab and kill people!" Mirai retorted.

"Well I guess you'd call him a non-pyschopath," Violet shrugged. "He carries a weapon that he doesn't kill people with."
Luke, walked up to Violet when he thought she was taking too long. He only shoved his knife into his jacket once he was standing behind her.

Mirai was glad to see the knife had been put away, thought she was still wary. She looked at the strange pair, knowing something was up. It was reminding her of the time she met Frost... and had found out thier world wasn't the same place she once thought it was.
"Then why does he need to carry it..?!" Mirai said, glacing at him, making this girl wasn't a liar: he may pull it out and attack any second!

Violet shrugged and glanced up at Luke. "Why do you carry it around?" she asked him.
"Defense," Luke said, answering Violet as if Mirai weren't there. "You can't live like us and not carry a weapon."

"On the streets," Violet shrugged like it was no big deal. It wasn't to her, it was far better than being stuck living with her father.
