Things Happen For A Reason

"Well.. There is a place over by the mountains where you can rent a horse.. If you want we could go do that Right now." Alyssa said.

I grinned happily, walking over to her. "Sure, yeah. I don't have any set plans today so let's do it." I said before grabbing her hand and waiting for her to lead me.

Alyssa smiled. "I think you'll like this." She said as she started walking. It took a bit to get there since they where on foot. "So you've never been on a horse before?" She asked.

I shook my head, swinging our arms back and forth. "Nope. Never. Actually, I've never even see a horse that wasn't in a picture or on TV. Are they really big? Do they really throw you off of them and then go on a crazy stampede at the slightest fright?" I asked animatedly--both excited and frightened at the same time.

Alyssa laughed he was acting like a little kid. "They arn't that big. They won't throw people off not these ones atleast unless they get scared. they won't stampede either." She looked at thier hands together.. She bit her lip slightly.

I didn't notice her look down at our hands while I looked up at the sky excitedly, my fright ebbing off. "Really? Great. So how big are they? Are they huge? Like, up to your head? Or are they really small, like, dog size? ...Well, obviously not that small 'cause I have to be able to ride it but still... how big are they?" I asked, glancing back down, a twinkle in my eyes. I was rambling which was one of the signs that I was excited (not that it wasn't obvious.)

Alyssa laughed again. "Look for yourself." She said as they came up to the horses.

I looked ahead and gasped, letting go of her hand and running forward, leaning against the corral gate and towards the horses. "Woah! They're so cool! And pretty, too!"

Alyssa laughed. "We'd like two please. We'll have them back by atleast the end of the day." Alyssa said. She looked over back at Daniel. "Pick which one you want. I'll take the tan on in the back." Alyssa said.

I studied all the horses thoughtfully before I spotted the black horse of TV and began bouncing like a child, pointing. "That one! I want the black one!"

Alyssa quickly hopped up on her horse as soon as it was brought out. "Do you know how to get on a horse?" She asked looking down and Daniel.

I looked between her and the horse I'd chosen. Hnnn... "I think so. Yeah." I said, grabbing onto the horse and hoisting myself up, grinning until I felt myself begin to slide with the saddle. Moments later I was on the ground with a field of dust surrounding me. I blew my hair out of my face and rubbed stared up at her, dumbfounded. "Uh... apparently I'm wrong. What did I do wrong?" I asked, bewildered and embarrassed. My ego just got bruised terribly. Ufufufu~.

Alyssa tried not to laugh she jumped down off her horse. Landing gracefully on the ground, she walked over and checked the saddle. "You didn't do anything wrong these Idiots didn't tighten the Saddle properly." She said Tightening the Saddle. "There that should be good. Try getting on now." She said stepping back.

I smiled. Woohoo! I was still correct. I got up and brushed my self off, making sure I was dustless before getting back on, grinning. "There we go. Okay." I said happily before looking at her.
"So, how do I work this thing? I asked, shaking the reigns slightly and jumping when it moved a bit.

"Wait don't do that!" Alyssa said. "You'll send it racing off, You have to slightly tab the reigns and lightly tap it with your heal to get it moving. She demostraited. Doing what she told him. "Now when you want to turn right you slightly pull the reigns right." She said doing so. "When you want to go left you pull left." she said doing it then came back up next to his horse. "Got it?" She asked.
