It was a dark and chilly night, and the streets on this particular side of town were empty, but they had a dangerous air to them. A small-framed, fragile girl was walking the streets, her short blue hair sticking out in the dark. Her eyes were wide as she took each tiny step. At every rustle, she jumped, whimpering.

Long white hair flowed past her knees and crystal blue eyes shone from under the hood of her cloak as she walked down the streets of Bay Creek. The bad side of town. She'd been don this way before, and it had been trouble. A reason why she never went there without her cloak. She could scent someone else near by, but she didn't recognize the scent. |

Ella stumbled quietly along, eventually tripping over a trash can. Her lip quivered as she held back tears. She sat on the ground and pulled her knees to her chest to examine the scraped knee. "Oh no..." she whispered. "It's bleeding."

Asteria walked through the streets keeping low, and hoped to get to where she was going without any trouble at all on her part. But as she walked, a scent hit the roof of her mouth. She stopped dead in her tracks. It was the scent of blood. She followed it, until she came upon a young girl. "Are you alright?" She asked kindly hoping not to scare her. |

Ella looked up, her eyes wide with curiosity and fear. "Er, uh, yes, I think so." the small girl responded softly. "I just tripped, over that garbage can. I'm sure I'm alright." She then brushed off the gravel that had clung to her pale skin. "I'm sure I'll be just fine." she added.

Asteria smiled a bit and she reached up, pulling back her hood revealing her five foot long hair and shining crystal blue eyes. "Don't worry. I'm not gonna hurt you... you're hurt." She said taking a step forward. |

Kayla backed up a little bit, her eyes never leaving the girl who was approaching her. "N-not hurt." she stuttered. "It's just a scrape." she insisted.

Asteria smiled and put her hands up showing she wasn't going to hurt her, not in the least bit as she wasn't the type to start a fight. "I promise. I just want to help. Here." She removed her cloak. "Take this." She said holding it out to her. |

Ella stared at her more and shook her head. "I don't want.. don't want the cloak." she insisted, but she held out her hand. "Could you, uh, help me up, then?"

Asteria smiled and she held out her hand, taking Ella's and she carefully helped her up and helped her steady herself on her feet. "I can help if you want. There are some things out here that'll scent your blood. Trust me. You don't want to meet them." She said looking the girl in the eyes. |
